1. Agreement

By using Jobsmith (the "Service"), including the free CV analysis, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. AI processing of your CV

You acknowledge and agree that any CV, document, or information you submit will be processed by automated systems and artificial intelligence (AI) in order to generate your CV analysis, score, role-fit breakdown, and improvement suggestions. This processing is essential to providing the Service. AI-generated output may contain inaccuracies and is provided for guidance only — it does not guarantee any employment outcome.

3. Your data

We handle your data in line with our Privacy Policy. Your CV is never sold, is used solely to provide and improve the Service, and is deleted after 30 days unless you hold an active account. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any information you upload.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to provide accurate information, to use the Service only for lawful job-search purposes, and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to reverse-engineer the Service.

5. Subscriptions, billing & trials

Jobsmith offers Lite, Pro and Sponsored plans on a monthly or annual basis, billed in British pounds (GBP, £) through our payment provider, Stripe. UK customers are charged in £; customers elsewhere are shown their local currency at checkout (converted automatically from our GBP price and settled to us in GBP). Prices are shown at checkout. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can view, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from Billing → Manage billing, which opens the secure Stripe customer portal.

6. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jobsmith is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service or reliance on AI-generated output.

7. Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel at any time from Billing → Manage billing. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period and is not renewed after that; you keep access until then. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial periods.

Because our paid features (AI CV tailoring, cover letters, job matching, NHS supporting-information) deliver digital output immediately, fees already charged are generally non-refundable. If you were charged in error, charged twice, or could not access a feature due to a fault on our side, contact us within 14 days of the charge at support@jobsmithai.com and we will investigate and, where appropriate, issue a refund. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

8. Affiliate programme

Approved affiliates earn commission on qualifying paid subscriptions referred through their unique link, subject to our affiliate terms. Commissions accrue once a referred customer's payment succeeds and are paid out once your balance reaches the stated minimum, to the payout account you provide. We may withhold or reverse commissions relating to fraud, chargebacks, refunds, self-referrals or breaches of these terms. Payout availability depends on your country of residence and our payout providers.

9. Job matching, Sponsored & NHS features

Jobsmith is a job-search and application-support tool, not a recruitment agency, employer, or immigration adviser, and we do not guarantee interviews, job offers, visa sponsorship, or any employment outcome. On the Sponsored plan we aim to surface up to 12 sponsor-licensed and NHS roles per day matched to your chosen roles; because we only show roles at employers with a confirmed UK sponsor licence and never pad your list, actual numbers vary by day and role and may be fewer, especially for niche or specialist roles. NHS vacancies are surfaced from publicly available listings and depend on live openings. Sponsor-licence and vacancy information is provided for convenience and may change; always verify details directly with the employer before applying. AI-generated CVs and supporting statements are drafts based on the information you provide and must be reviewed by you for accuracy before submission.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you where you live.
